Biography

An artist whose work brings together expressionism and impressionism, using acrylic and oil colours and the palette knife to build masses of colour and textures rich in movement. Her subjects are drawn from women, heritage and the Saudi environment, presented through a symbolic vision that cares more for feeling than for fine detail. Her practice centres on the balance between boldness of colour and calm of composition, giving each painting a presence of its own and an open space for contemplation.

Artist statement

I reduce the details so that feeling can be present, and I let colour tell the story.

I draw my work from my Saudi identity, in a style that reduces detail and gives colour and feeling more room.

Exhibitions and art events

I took part in several exhibitions with the JSFT arts society, in the Diyaa competition, and in exhibitions such as Golden Fingertips (Al-Anamil Al-Dhahabiya), Legends of Art (Asateer Al-Fann), Saudi Art and others.

Awards and honours

I received several honours at every exhibition I took part in, and my painting in the Diyaa competition reached the final rounds and won the admiration of the judges.
