Terms and Conditions of Service

These terms and conditions are a legally binding document governing your use of our platform and digital gallery. By accessing the site or acquiring any of the items on display, you expressly agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Nature of the platform and our role

Bo.Journal operates as a sales platform and curated digital gallery ("Curated Platform") that brings together a select group of makers, artists and luxury brands with customers interested in acquiring rare pieces and fine leather goods.

  • The work is sold directly by the artist or maker through the platform, under the supervision of Bo.Journal.
  • The platform facilitates display, payment and logistics, while the pieces are made, prepared and shipped directly from our partners' studios to ensure the highest standards of quality and authenticity.

2. Nature of the pieces (handcraft and artworks)

Because many of the items on our platform are original artworks or handmade leather products:

  • Slight differences may appear in the leather's color or texture, or in the details of artworks, compared with the images shown digitally. These differences are not "manufacturing defects"; they are the mark that gives each piece its rarity and uniqueness.
  • "Limited edition" products are subject to availability with the partner, and the platform reserves the right to cancel the order and refund the customer in full if stock runs out before the system is updated.

3. Intellectual property and copyright

  • Platform content: All digital content, video essays, visual storytelling, the logo and the overall design of the site are the exclusive intellectual property of Bo.Journal and are protected under intellectual property laws. Copying or reusing them without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.
  • Artwork rights: When you acquire an artwork or a print, you own the "physical piece" only. Copyright and commercial reproduction rights remain exclusively with the artist or maker, and the customer may not copy the artwork or use it for commercial purposes.

4. Pricing and payment

  • All prices are shown in Saudi riyals (SAR).
  • We ensure secure, fully encrypted electronic payment gateways. The platform does not retain any details or data relating to your credit cards.
  • The platform reserves the right to change the prices of pieces at any time without prior notice. Such changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed and paid for.

Acquiring original works

  • Original works are acquired by sending an "acquisition request" from the work's page, not by adding them to a cart.
  • A request is not binding and no payment is made when it is sent. The platform holds the work in the name of the person who sent the request for 12 hours, after which it becomes available again unless the acquisition has been completed.
  • After we have been in touch and confirmed that the work is available, the customer receives a secure payment link, and the sale is concluded when payment is completed.
  • If, before payment, the work turns out to be no longer available, the customer is informed without any obligation on their part.
  • Original works are subject to the return exceptions set out in the Refund policy.

5. Accuracy of information and refusal of orders

  • The customer bears full responsibility for the accuracy of the information entered when completing the order (name, exact delivery address and contact number). The platform is not responsible for any delay or loss of a shipment resulting from incorrect information.
  • Bo.Journal reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order that we consider suspicious, that violates the terms of service, or where there is a clear technical error in the pricing of the piece. In such cases we will inform the customer and refund the full amount paid.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

  • The platform provides its services "as is", without any additional warranties beyond what is stated in our policies (such as the return policy).
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bo.Journal, its directors and its operating partners bear no liability for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the site or acquisition of the products.

7. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the regulations and laws in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. If any dispute arises relating to use of the platform or to purchases, the competent courts in the city of Riyadh have exclusive jurisdiction.

8. Changes to the terms

The platform reserves the right to update or amend the terms of service at any time to reflect changes in our operating practices or legal requirements. Your continued use of the site after any amendment is deemed implied acceptance of the updated terms.
